THE AIRWAVES ARE
OPEN
A line of communication is now open to effectively channel the flow
of information between the Association and the School. Mr. Wayne Woolery,
Ms. Shauna Miller - Senior Teacher, and Mr. Horace Baugh - Vice Principal
are members of the newly formed liaison committee.
This is great news for the GIHANA Board as the communication
gap has being bridged, allowing pertinent information to pass from the
school to the Association and visa versa.
We have also learned from committee chair, Mr. Woolery
that the school's Reading Department will be participating in a Book
Fair and Display Competition to be held in February of 2008. More information
will be made available as soon as the Reading Department has all the
specifics worked out.
DON'T YOU FORGET!!!!!!!!
Annual Fundraising Reunion - Toronto, Canada
Plans are in the making for the next fundraising event in August of
2008 in Toronto, Ontario. For the GIHANA’s alumni, the Annual
Reunion will culminate the weekend’s activities of the Canadian
Caribbean Festival – Caribbana. Start making plans; this is a
“can't miss” event.
